The TSS Cloud Developer Advisor will be your trusted technical resource to evaluate, design and implement best of breed technology approaches to solve the business and customer problems. This role will interface directly with the customers and internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver solutions, optimize service operations delivery, and resolve performance issues. This role entails overseeing the cloud network architecture functions to ensure timely, efficient, and quality designs.  

In this role, a typical day will include the responsibilities below:  

• Deploy endpoints into customer on-premises or cloud Infrastructure as a Service environments using Terraform scripts, automation tools, and native Cloud Service Provider tools.  
• Perform systems administration, OS level patching, and security configuration activities for server endpoints 
• Migrate customer data onto cloud endpoints.  
• Support the installation, configuration, systems integration, and troubleshooting of technical issues for supported applications with customer applications teams.  
• Implement and continuously improve infrastructure operations service management processes related to the on-premises or cloud directory, compute, or storage services.    
• Work across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during deployment.  
• Build and maintain technical relationships with others in the organization and technology providers by participating in cloud technology discussions and aligning solutions with client needs.  
• Provide communication, ensuring that managers, team members, stakeholders within the organization, and clients are kept informed of relevant trends and projects.  
•  Research new or alternative technologies, document findings, conduct pilots and evaluate multiple vendors, make recommendations, and develop business cases to justify the investment.  
• Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issues.  
• Mentor and train staff, ensuring they are up to speed on critical processes and technologies related to the organizations’ goals and soft skills needed to succeed.  
• Develop timelines for projects.  
• Contribute to budgeting for and understand the financial impact of cloud technology decisions.  
• Write functional requirements/specifications documents.  
• Guide the selection, implementation, and deployment processes for new cloud technology rollouts  

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS and 8+ years of relevant experience. (Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area is preferred)
• Experience with cloud Infrastructure as a Service environments using Terraform scripts, automation tools, and native Cloud Service Provider tools. 
• Windows enterprise experience
• Endpoint hardening experience
• Strong ommunication skills
• Strong attention to detail and requirements
• Motivated team player

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications
• Cloud Certifications.
• UNIX experience
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, etc.)
• Kubernetes or Docker experience

The likely salary range for this position is $125,600 - $188,400, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
