    Position summary

    Job Description Summary

    GE’s Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.
    Our Account Manager - Wind Energy role is a key customer facing role managing a large portfolio of converter installations worldwide (approximately 10k wind turbine installations).
    Our account managers are the principal point of contact for after-sales activities & projects, and have responsibility for the commercial management of day-to-day customer enquiries for aftersales service, technical matters, and upgrades.

    Job Description

    In this role you will                                                                                                   

    • Build robust relationships with customers and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction – including agreed KPI’s resulting from customer surveys
    • Maintain awareness of our Company’s competition and maximise opportunities through providing better service and solutions
    • Manage Long Term Service Agreement contracts, to maximise cash flow and profit, and to ensure compliance with GE Commercial processes
    • Together with multi-disciplinary team, manage projects, maintenance programmes, etc., to ensure that the delivery goals and contractual obligations are met.
    • Identify risks and manage claims relating to late deliveries, installed base issues, etc.
    • Ensure timely and accurate customer billing and on time cash collection.
    • Carry out project reviews to control projects, check progress, manage cost, identify deviations from plan, detect risk and forecast future performance.

    We are looking for a professional with:

    • A degree in an engineering discipline. (preferably Electrical / Power Electronic Engineering).
    • Chartered status within a professionally recognised body.
    • Background in project management - ideally in power electronics.
    • Strong IT skills: M.S. Office, M.S. Project, SAP & Servicemax
    • Demonstrable experience in commercial / contract management; managing project finances; business operations and management; procurement and supplier negotiations.
    • Project management / strong customer focus.
    • Proven record in decision making and motivating others to deliver.
