As a Control System Engineer you will be an active contributor of execution of control system project responsible for preparation of technical documentation, hardware specification, configuration and software implementation for Steam Turbine Control System and Steam Power Plants DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
This role will require you to participate throughout all project phases, ensure on-time delivery and good quality of provided engineering outputs.
A Control System Engineer is in close cooperation with other internal and external engineering teams in this field.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review client specifications for PLC/DCS, Cyber Security, SCADA. etc

  • Specification of control systems' and networks' related hardware

  • System installation and configuration

  • Implementation of application software based on process specifications

  • Configuration and implementation of HMI (Human-Machine Interface)

  • Configuration and set-up of simulation & testing platform

  • Testing of control system hardware and application

  • Preparation and participation in internal and customer's Factory Acceptance Tests

  • Implementation and review of project documents like Architecture Drawing, Cabinets Drawing, BOMs, Logic Diagram, etc.

  • Interface with Supply Chain management, manufacturing, subsuppliers and other departments

  • Participation in the design reviews and project technical meetings

  • Meet project time schedule and cost budget

  • Support on-site activities during commissioning and systems' startups

  • Support proposal engineering creating customer offers and engage in technical discussions with the clients

  • Provide customer support with remote and on-line troubleshooting

  • Participation in Hotline for servicing plants

  • Active participation in the design reviews and project technical meetings and conscientious execution of defined actions and tasks

  • Effective, close cooperation with project Lead Engineer and other team members

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Automation/Instrumentation/Control Engineering

  • Proven experience in application writing for PLC/DCS (knowledge of GE ALSPA or GE MARK VIe platforms would be an advantage)

  • Industry knowledge in energy / turbomachinery / oil & gas applications

  • Knowledge of industrial networks

  • Understand drawings of controls cabinets

  • Knowledge of circuit diagrams and connection diagrams (Cabinet)

  • Basic knowledge about CE certification, ATEX, Functional Safety

  • OT Cybersecurity knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others

  • Knowledge / experience on executing Cyber solutions

  • Fluent in Polish and English language

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

  • Ability to cooperate effectively within global engineering/project execution organization and external partners

  • Effectiveness in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Professional experience in engineering in Power Industry, especially in cooperation within global teams

  • General knowledge of Power Plant processes & systems

  • Passion for innovative solutions, cost-out actions, and process improvement

  • Ability to travel internationally
