    Position summary

    Job Description Summary

    All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation
    • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
    • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
    • Perform administrative functions such as: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis       
    • Signs off on all changes implemented.
    • Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.

    Required Qualifications

    • Technical/University degree from an accredited university or college. (or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Field Services role)
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance position

    Eligibility Requirements

    • In order to provide direction to others, position requires technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment.
    • Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.
    • Able to gain and maintain unescorted access to a US, Mexico, and Canadian Nuclear Power Plant.
    • Have a valid Drivers License in country of residence

    Desired Characteristics

    • Has the knowledge and skill to actively support an outage and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise. Has experienced successful installations and outages.
    • Experience and training on Alstom, Siemens or other OEM equipment is preferred
    • Extensive Field Engineering Services experience is required
    • Pipe fitting and tubing experience.
    • Previous experience working on GE LM equipment.
    • Fluent in English language.
    • Very Good organizational skills
    • Prior project management experience
    • Very Good project management skills
    • Very Good oral and written communication skills
    • Very Good interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Very Good business acumen and ability to sell GE products to the customer

    _The salary range for this position is $_69,000.00 - 116,000.00 USD USD Annual. The specific salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for variable incentive compensation.
