    Job Description Summary

    The Manufacturing Finance Manager will provide strategic financial support to the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Supply Chain operations team in Gas Power at Dung Quat (DQ) Vietnam manufacturing plant. With the plant manager and operation team you will develop and execute strategic financial manufacturing & sourcing objectives, drive for optimized cost/profitability of the HRSG products as you deliver on growth and synergy commitments for Gas Power business

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • The Finance Manager will provide direct supports and leaderships to plant manager/function managers including but not limited: 1). to achieve yearly financial target and all KPI in DQ; 2). to make recommendations for site action plans and investments & 3). to support with analysis to make best possible operating decision for DQ and Gas Power business
    • Lead & meet target for DQ Key Performance Indicator (KPI) on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash chapter during monthly bowler chart review
    • Coordinate and drive the execution of manufacturing finance activities including but not limited to quarterly/yearly budget planning; quarterly Early Read (ER) forecasting, quarterly/monthly/daily pacing, monthly closing and reporting activities (i.e., Weekly pulse reviews; monthly bowler chart reviews) & other ad-hoc request analysis
    • Drive standard works through lean methodology and tools concept to apply to manufacturing finance processes including daily management, kaizen, and problem solving, to drive continuous improvement/cost out projects
    • Own overall DQ P&L. Lead and meet the yearly budget target for base costs, variable costs, operating profit, Operating Cost Per Hour (OCPH), Applied Direct Labor hours (ADL hours) & Estimated At Completion (EAC)
    • Minimize the financial variances between the actual vs. planning/target. Execute and maintain 100% “say-do” ratio reflecting in financial results
    • Partner with operation teams to track financial productivities and lead each function to own their respective financials/KPIs to meet overall DQ yearly budget target
    • Manage and track P&E investment/site expansion
    • Partner with DQ Controllership team to support and perform monthly closing activities
    • Ensure compliance with GE policies, US GAAP, and local statutory financial standards. Drive manufacturing finance awareness to all functions in DQ
    • Develop and establish financial policies & procedures and drive accuracy and consistency in financial reporting

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum 5 years of professional finance experience across FP&A, Supply Chain finance position

    • Experience with manufacturing shop operations and understand functional costs
    • Demonstrate an ability to manage conflicting priorities to a successful outcome
    • Knowledge of HRSG components and systems and the associated supply base
    • Experience in building a culture of transparency, speed and collaboration
    • Connects with people, empathetic and listens to achieve the business priorities
    • Creative problem solver, passion for delivering on commitments
    • Embraces new technology and simplification as a means to drive productivity and speed
    • Boundary less...originates ideas which influence others to change
    • Intercultural skills and abilities for managing worldwide interfaces to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to communicate effectively with project finance, commercial organizations, supply chain and project management team
    • Fluent in English
