    Role Summary/Purpose

    This role is responsible for establishing and leading a global team of Labor Services Category Management professionals. The role will provide leadership support in building a team of best-in-class talent and fostering an environment of strong collaboration and engagement. The Labor Services Category Management Leader will establish relationships by building trust with internal and external stakeholders and developing and executing strategies to meet business outcomes. Within Labor Services, the team is responsible for Category Strategy Development, Master Agreement Negotiations, Supplier Management and Performance Monitoring activities for Contract Labor and Engineering Services. Responsibilities include Contract Labor negotiations and contracting, coordinating with the Business Unit Category Management teams to ensure a cohesive global strategy, coordinating sourcing efforts and policy, and executing initiatives. This role should partner with GE functional stakeholders in Business and Segment Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive TCO reductions while delivering excellent service levels to the organization.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Oversee development and execution of category management strategies
    • Champion and secure total cost efficiency within the Labor Services spend category
    • Develop and oversee vendor management operations process and system for labor services spend categories (e.g., upgrade should-cost analysis capabilities, work closely with functions -Engineering, Finance, HR, etc.)
    • Execute end-to-end sourcing process for contract labor
    • Track performance within assigned category spend group
    • Lead and manage multi-functional stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing initiatives or projects
    • Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance
    • Drive best practices, measure, and track internal performance, monitor strategy implementation to ensure benefit realization, drive annual productivity improvements, and drive value through supplier relationship management within the assigned category spend/group

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, or related fields
    • Experience in contingent labor and/or engineering sourcing
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience directly leading teams
    • Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture change
    • For roles not in USA, this role requires significant experience comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
    • For roles in USA, this role requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in job family group/function)

    Desired Characteristics

    • MBA or bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience/ knowledge
    • Experience in contingent labor and engineering sourcing
    • Category Management/Sourcing experience in a multinational company
    • Track record of driving step changes improvement in sourcing
    • Collaborative mindset in working across functional areas
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal
    • Demonstrated negotiations skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Experience with RFQ implementation and execution
    • History with supply base consolidation
