NC / CNC Programmer - Mechanical Engineering Technician

Job Description Summary

The NC programmer//Mechanical Engineering Technician duties include reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming the CNC machine, and adjusting the machine settings until the desired specs are met. This person will work with the production and quality teams to make sure proper build books are created in a timely manner to meet production needs.

Pay Transparency:

The pay for this position is $1,https://035.34 - 1,https://250.88. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. Expected close date from career site is once a contender is identified.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• CNC Programming

• CAD/CAM experience

• Help develop shop tooling and procedures

• Work on developing build books

• Read and interpret blue prints

• Work with engineering to improve overall shop process

• Give hourly EE's technical guidance

Required Qualification:

• Associates Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED plus a minimum of 3 years working in a manufacturing environment)

• Minimum 1 year of CNC programming experience

• CAD / CAM experience

Desired Characteristics:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA with out sponsorship now or in the future.

• This position is 100% onsite at GE Schenectady Plant
