Position summary

Job Description Summary

The candidate will be working as the operations leader for a cluster of countries in APAC region. As an operations leader, the candidate will report to the Asia Operations GM belonging to the Services ITR organization.
As an ops leader, the candidate is expected to work with transparency, innovation, and zeal with the frontline service execution team comprising of CPM/CSLs and service directors. The ops leader is also expected to be driven by globally defined metrics, and standard processes being followed in the region to ensure standard reporting and performance measurement in terms of services delivery. In this role, the candidate has to also be flexible to adapt based on existing market situations to harmonize and simplify operating mechanisms wherever possible with proper stakeholder agreements.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Run standard operating rhythms and rigors, as agreed from an Asia region perspective
  • Be the single point of contact for any service-related questions or operational issue resolution to help the frontline team
  • Identify key metrics to measure region performance based on global standards
  • Drive regional performance on the key metrics identified above or already defined (Planning, Execution, Short-cycling, Last Mile, Event management, OTD, etc.)
  • Help define standard work procedures for improved operational efficiency
  • Help define key dashboards and build the same to measure operational effectiveness and service delivery for the region
  • Look inwards and outwards for best practices across the regions and different teams that can be leveraged
  • Work towards simplification of existing processes that can save time for all stakeholders and/or improve efficiency
  • Work with partner teams like FieldCore, OSS, Engineering, Quality, and so on to ensure standard operating rigors and reporting
  • Be an agent of change for simplifying processes, and make reporting simpler and impactful
  • Run the training and learning development for CPMs and operations team in the region
  • Partner with CoE teams (Contract and Ops) to ensure the key systems are maintained with accuracy and on time.
  • Be a system expert for key operations systems to be able to train the CPMs as and when needed with necessary changes
  • Be the regions’ voice on key councils and share responsibility of leading these calls with other ops leaders in the region and the GM
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Uses judgment to make moves or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at conclusions
     

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college
  • Overall understanding of products & power plants
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure 
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work responsibly 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to cooperate and influence customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to steer programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
