Job Description
The Commercial Proposals Manager (CM) will report to the Aero Asia Pole Commercial Director, will be a key member of the commercial deal team and will support all aspects of the Inquiry-To-Order (ITO) activities including strategy development, external meetings/negotiations, commercial positioning, value proposition, deal structuring, proposal generation, pricing, terms & conditions, obtain business approval and ultimately drive closure to opportunities.
Location is open at GE offices across Thailand, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore as well as remote locations (Home offices).
Essential Responsibilities
Work as a key member of the Asia Aero Services Inquiry To Order ("ITO") team in support of achieving the region's commitments, orders, sales, cash, operating profit, and margin targets for the applicable segment
Provide the timely ITO proposal generation effort and contract formation process for Aero Gas Services opportunities across the ASIA region providing various services offerings including Depot repairs, Asset Management Exchanges, Upgrades and/or Multi-year agreements with the intent of developing winning strategies to leverage successful deal closures while ensuring compliance with all established guidelines and processes.
Drive and coordinate ITO process compliance and metrics across assigned deal opportunities with special emphasis on Policy https://5.0 requirements, proposal and contract completeness, timeliness, and quality, and the effectiveness and efficiency of the ITO-OTR (Inquiry To Order - Order To Remittance) handover process
Participate in negotiations with customers and bring commercially advantageous terms and conditions, prices and payment plans for Aero Services business
Provide full proposal guidance from initial enquiry to deal closure and handover (track key dates, proposal submission deadlines and timely internal deliverables)
Provide subject matter expert guidance to Sales team for contract amendment, terms creation and risk/reward study and interpretation of financial metrics for the assigned deals
Utilize commercial and technical skill sets to enable further personal ITO processes empowerment, simplification, and speed and mentor new Commercial & Sales Managers/Commercial Leadership Program members
Drive proposal throughput, yield, cost, efficiency, and individual productivity
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma with the relevant experience)
Significant experience in Sales and/ or Proposal, Tendering, Sales Support in the Power Generation and/ or Oil & Gas industry
Deep knowledge and experience in drafting complex contracts and its negotiation, commercial, operations, and/or risk management
Strategic mindset, understanding biz financials
Strong business acumen and presentation skills
Willingness and ability to travel, as needed, for customer and deal enablement.
Understanding of GE internal risk processes and tools, such as Policy https://5.0, CRM (NEX) etc
