Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Participate in the data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction. Implement logical / physical data models that support best practices and write code that meets standards and deliver desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. Perform a variety of data loads & data transformations with creating for parsing, formatting and transforming data into units consistent with analytical needs. Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap, design pattern and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint. Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level. Participate in the Data Governance Council. Support the development data and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses. Research and evaluate emerging data technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities. Coach and mentor team members. Monitor and control costs in the organization. Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources and rally teammates. Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes. Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or Engineering, and 6 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation required. The position also requires: Combined 6 years of experience working with various big data technologies such as Hive, Greenplum, HVR, Talend and various AWS service offering; 3 years of experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or QlikView; 6 years of experience using Scripting technologies (Pig, Python or Perl, etc.); 6 years of experience with logical and physical data models, big data storage architecture, data modelling methodologies, metadata management, master data management, or data lineage & data profiling; 4 years experience supporting Analytics Program Manager (APM) in their data requirements and solutions; and 6 years experience managing, guiding and directing Data Engineers in implementing analytics solutions.
