Job Description
Tasks and responsibilities
Diagnostics on the generator such as visual inspections and electrical tests on stators, rotors and other electrical components
Perform generator diagnostics, including visual inspections and electrical tests on stators, rotors, and other electrical components
Perform robotic inspections and high voltage tests on generators
Recommissioning of air-cooled and H2-cooled generators
Troubleshooting of electrical systems
Plan, organize, integrate and direct labor and tool and material allocation
Provide technical expertise to customers, service support, field technicians and operators
Support in planning diagnostic activities and carrying out diagnosis on site
Ensure contractual obligations are met
Attend technical meetings with customers as weel as provide timely and accurate internal and external reports
Loop-check and adjustment of analogue, binary and other measurements
Adjustment of instrumentation
Perform other duties as assigned
Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality
Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications gained through relevant practical experience
Solid understanding of electrical testing methods
Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting circuit diagrams and technical requirement specifications
Ability and willingness to travel internationally, and to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments
Fluency in English and Polish, both written and spoken
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge and skill to actively support field service activities and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise.
Experience in a field service or generator diagnostics
Analytic, organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
