Support and eventually own components of the statutory audit lifecycle, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit deliverables.
Partner with cross-functional teams including Tax, business line regional teams to gather necessary inputs for financial reporting and compliance activities.
Liaise with external auditors to provide documentation, resolve queries, and ensure timely closure of audit items.
Ensure compliance with statutory and tax KPIs, supporting tracking and reporting on relevant metrics.
Participate in Lean and process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
Develop a basic understanding of key business and financial drivers, and report potential risks or control issues to the Region Controller as appropriate.
Support STAT to GAAP adjustments in Statutory HFM and post related entries in SAP dual ledger (L1).
Work on legal entity-level S2G (Stat to GAAP) adjustments, including analysis and efforts to minimize reconciling items.
Coordinate with Grid tax teams by providing accurate and timely data to support tax computations, filings and audits.
Required Qualifications
Certificated Public Accountant / Commerce post qualification from an accredited college or university
Overall 2+ years working experience
SAP, FDL, HFM experience preferred
Desired Characteristics
Good knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP/local accounting standards and legal requirements).
Familiarity with SAP, HFM, or other financial reporting tools is a plus.
Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Analytical mindset and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
