    Position summary

    This is not a support role. This role owns the NPI improvement roadmap and drives measurable outcomes in cycle time, first pass yield, and delivery performance.

    Responsibilities

    • Act as Engineering GM staff partner and Lean coach to Gas Turbine Engineering process owners to define NPI strategy, future-state process design, and prioritized improvement roadmap

    • Lead the end-to-end transformation of the Gas Turbine Engineering NPI process to reduce lead time, improve first pass yield, and accelerate speed to market

    • Define and lead the portfolio of NPI-focused kaizens and Lean projects (6-12 per year) aligned with Gas Power Engineering priorities, ensuring all improvements deliver measurable impact.

    • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, rework, and non-value-added work to enable flow, predictability, and throughput across the NPI lifecycle

    • Partner with Quality and Systems Engineering to ensure alignment to the Zero-Defect framework, driving adoption of built-in quality principles within NPI execution

    • Drive structured problem solving, including PSRs (1-3 per quarter), based on KPI trends and critical NPI performance gaps

    • Integrate NPI performance into Daily Management and Monthly Operating Reviews, providing clear visibility to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost outcomes

    • Ensure disciplined execution and sustainment of improvements through standard work, operating cadence, and Lean governance

    • Coach and influence teams to adopt Lean principles, while driving standardization and harmonization across Gas Turbine Engineering to enable a unified NPI model

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.

    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in successfully managing programs or projects, or driving continuous improvement initiatives.

    For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

    Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
