    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Support execution of retrofit projects including installation, power up, and commissioning of one or more of the following: Excitation control solutions (EX2100e, EX2100, EX2000 DFE), Static Starter control solutions (LS2100, LS2100e), HMI upgrades, and TIL implementation.

    • Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage.

    • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

    • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

    • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

    • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Power generation, generator controls, and or turbine controls.

    Eligibility Requirements

    • This role requires advanced experience in Field Service and Technical Advising in the Power Generation Industry. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings

    • Ability to travel for weeks at a time; 50% travel as required

    • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

    • Established project management skills.

    • Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills

    For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $78,800.00 and $131,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
