    Position summary

    Project Manager communicate project status to our customers

    • Assists Project Manager and sourcing in developing GEHI and Japan local vendor cost estimate during proposal phase

    • Provide project oversight to ensure that both customer and technical specifications are met throughout project development, tooling/equipment testing, qualification, and delivery

    • Support appropriate relations and interact effectively with multiple levels of the customer organization on commercial, technical, quality, and compliance topics.

    • Support project planning, reporting, risk forecasting, and management

    • Strategically manage field delivery and projects with the GEHI team and functional support from Nuclear Services P&Ls, Project Managers, GEHA cross functional organizations, partners. and suppliers

    • Interface with GEHA Field Delivery Project Managers/Project Members and drive consistent delivery excellence processes including:

    • Setting a tone within the business for nuclear safety, integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.

    • Customer satisfaction in key business defined areas.

    • Meeting or exceeding project financial targets.

    • Field execution and leadership.

    • Maintain close regular contact with customers; obtain first-hand input on plant operational issues and customer's intentions in terms of repairs, upgrades, equipment/parts replacement, and maintenance in general.

    • Be proactive about customer needs; act quickly to prevent competitors from entering GE Hitachi installed base.

    • Work with P&Ls, Sales, and Commercial Operations groups to respond to customer inquiries and participate in commercial discussions with customers; Assist in sales campaigns for proposals development and contract negotiations.

    • Uncover additional customer needs during order execution and grow orders portfolio, in partnership with the commercial team.

    • Support Japan Services Manager to ensure execution is performed in compliance with the country rules and regulations from all business aspects including: EHS, Quality Assurance, taxes, revenue recognition and other financial statutory requirements, such as import-export charges, past dues, & inventory, etc.

    • Formulate and drive growth initiatives, NPI, customer solutions and value story

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 4 years of relevant experience in a related technical field

    • Minimum 5 years of Nuclear Industry work experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management or equivalent minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering problem solving and facilitating resolution between diverse groups and interests

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with proposals, pricing, and billing practices

    • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time, including outage support as dictated by business need.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to Nuclear Plants.

    • Ability to pass Fitness-For-Duty requirements

    • Construction Engineer license holder (per Building Standards Act, 監理技術者 機械器具設置工事ほか ) in Japan for Mechanical Installation or willing to obtain and apply for this license once pre-requisites are met

    Desired Characteristics

    • BWR vessel system and internal hardware knowledge / experience.

    • Ability to perform or review Japan Establishment / Construction Permit licensing analysis (設置許可申請/工事計画認可申請)

    • Knowledge of nuclear industry products

    • Strong grasp of reactor vessel internal hardware design issues, balanced with understanding of complexities of field delivery.

    • Experience working with nuclear plant outages/services and with customers.

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers and technical support teams.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects.

    • Flexible to changing environment and work relationships.

    • Open communication style and ability to develop team relationships, including vendors and global teams.

    • Ability to rapidly identify problems and contribute to prompt resolution.

    • Experience with contracting issues associated with technical projects.

    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

    • Prior experience with relevant systems (PIP, PLM, Box, RedShare, Oracle, Tableau)

    • Technical writing background

    • Strong Japanese and English language skill
