    Position summary

    G6, G8 which is planned to be completed in this program.

    Sir Adam Beck 2 (SAB2) Generating Station is a hydro power plant of sixteen (16) unit of 104.5 MW each located on the Niagara River. The units were placed in service during the years 1954 -1958. The Sir Adam Beck 2 Overhaul Refurbishment project will consist in refurbishing or replacing the major equipment and auxiliaries of all 16 units from 2025 to 2037.

    Role description:

    Based on site, the Site Quality Specialist (SQS) will support the Site Manager for the preparation of all resources needed for excellent execution at site, including trainings, personal qualifications, proper information, etc.

    • Foster Quality mindset at site.

    • Perform process self-audits and process implementation at site, including but not limited to:

      • Control and distribution of documents;
      • Control of measurement and tests devices;
      • Storage and preservation;
      • Welding process;
      • Painting process;
      • Material traceability;
      • Personal qualifications for special processes;
      • Quality records
    • Report quantitative quality metrics related to site activities.

    • Collect, verify and organize quality records.

    • Manage all non-conformities detected at site.

    • Support the proper registration of non-conformities as they arise.

    • Monitor and register the execution of curative actions.

    • Support the root-cause analysis of non-conformities detected at site.

    • Assure the execution of the process from Red Mark to As-Build documentation.

    • Lead or support the implementation of corrective actions at site.

    • Lead or support cross functional process improvements at site.

    Competency:

    • Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree

    • Solid awareness in Quality Control or Erection processes

    • Desire to work in Niagara Falls region

    • Strong spoken and written English level

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Hydro sector in a similar role or within a role covering similar responsibilities

    For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $75,700 and $125,700 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
