    Position summary

    and delivering solutions centered on Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS). Working as a senior technical leader within the commercial organization, you will partner closely with utility stakeholders to address complex operational challenges associated with distribution automation, DER integration, and grid modernization.
    Leveraging GridOS, GE Vernova's end to end grid orchestration platform, you will help utilities transition to more flexible, resilient, and intelligent distribution networks - enabling secure, reliable operations while supporting the clean energy grid of the future.

    Job Description

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solution Architect to lead customer engagements focused on Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS) across the Growth Region (Asia Pacific, India, and Sub-Saharan Africa).

    This role serves as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor, working closely with utilities to design and position solutions that address distribution automation, DER integration, and grid modernization challenges. You will shape solution strategy, influence customer decisions, and support complex, high-impact opportunities across diverse markets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead technical solution design and customer engagement for GridOS ADMS(Advanced Distribution Management Systems) and DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems) offerings

    • Act as a trusted advisor to utility stakeholders, including distribution operations, control room, DER program, and IT/OT leaders

    • Strong Commercial Acumen with experience with software sales, able to deliver to targets, express strong value propositions while understanding customers' buying processes

    • Design end to end solution architectures covering:

      • SCADA, DMS(Distribution Management System), OMS (Outage Management System), VVO, and FLISR
      • DER monitoring, DER Control (CSIP), Forecasting, Aggregation, Optimization, and Flexibility Markets
      • Integration with GIS, AMI, EMS, and enterprise systems
    • Translate regional regulatory, grid interconnection, and operational requirements into practical solution designs

    • Deliver executive level presentations, workshops, and product demonstrations tailored to customer maturity

    • Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring solution completeness, differentiation, and feasibility

    • Support proof of concepts, pilots, and customer validation activities

    • Collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering to shape regional solution strategy and product direction

    • Represent GE Vernova at industry events, conferences, and customer forums

    • Lead with thought leadership on Future Flexible Networks and bring expertise on emerging industry trends

    DERMS(Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems) Focus Areas

    • DER integration at scale, including:

      • Rooftop and utility scale solar PV
      • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
      • Electric vehicle (EV) charging and V2G
      • Demand response and flexible loads
      • Microgrids and islanded operations
      • Flexibility Markets
    • DERMS use cases such as:

      • Realtime and near real time DER control
      • DER forecasting and visibility
      • DER Monitoring and Control (based on industry standards like IEEE 2030.5 and OpenADR)
      • Hosting capacity and constraint management
      • Coordination between DERMS and ADMS/SCADA
    • Designing architectures that support centralized and federated DER orchestration models

    • Addressing operational, communications, and cybersecurity challenges associated with DER control

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Systems, or a related field

    • 15+ years of experience in utility distribution systems, grid operations, or control systems

    • 10+ years in a customer facing role such as presales, consulting, or solution architecture

    • Strong experience with ADMS, DMS, OMS, SCADA, and DERMS platforms

    • Proven ability to lead complex technical discussions with senior utility stakeholders

    • Willingness to travel up to 35% across the Growth Region

    • Business Acumen

    Desired characteristics:

    • Experience with GE Vernova GridOS, PowerOn Advantage ADMS, eTerra ADMS, or equivalent industry solutions

    • Familiarity with cloud or hybrid deployments (AWS, Azure)

    • Knowledge of international distribution grid codes and standards

    • Experience working across emerging and developing utility markets
