Act as the technical authority and escalation point for complex design, performance, and production issues.
Lead architecture and solution design for the Extensible FEP, including protocol strategy, integration patterns, performance optimization, and fault tolerance.
Platform & Application Design
Real-time telemetry ingestion and processing
Supervisory control and command handling workflows
Alarms, events, historian integration, and operational displays
Role-based access control, auditability, and operational safety mechanisms
Non-Functional Excellence
Drive non-functional requirements across solutions, including:
Ensure architectures meet grid operational requirements and scale across development, test, and production environments.
Modernization & Engineering Excellence
Define and execute modernization strategies, including:
Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement across teams.
Collaboration & Mentorship
Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations to deliver roadmap objectives.
Lead technical design reviews and mentor senior and mid-level engineers.
Support customer-facing activities, including architecture discussions and technical workshops.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering**, Electronics, Computer Science**, or equivalent.
Experience
Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Technical Skills
Real-time systems and distributed architectures
Integration protocols and data ingestion patterns
High-availability and fault-tolerant system design
Preferred Attributes
Experience with grid operations, EMS/DMS/SCADA platforms, or utility control centers
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business, operational, and technical stakeholders
Proven ability to lead architecture decisions in complex, regulated environments
Excellent communications and trouble shooting skills
