Job description
In this site-based role, the selected person's main responsibility will be to focus on managing parts as they arrive on site. Among the critical tasks are:
Promote a quality mindset on site.
Implement quality processes on site, including but not limited to:
Support the preparation of documentation intended to protect GE in the event of third-party claims.
Collect, verify, and organize quality records.
Manage all nonconformities detected on site related to received parts.
Support the proper recording of nonconformities as they occur.
Monitor and record the execution of corrective (curative) actions.
Support root cause analysis of nonconformities detected on site.
Lead or support the implementation of corrective actions on site.
Lead or support cross-functional process improvements on site.
Maintain up to date inventory.
Required skills and qualifications
Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or a similar technical field.
Strong rigor in quality control or construction processes.
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
Ability and willingness to work full time on SAB 1 and 2 projects at Niagara Falls.
Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization.
Technical experience in the hydropower sector is a significant asset.
