Drive sourcing deliverables for existing supply chain, with direct material volume of ~$270M.
Ensure robust supply chains are in place to meet all business requirements, including margin enhancement, on time delivery and product quality. Develop strategies to manage exposure from commodities and foreign exchange for project components and services.
Partner with Fuel and Services manufacturing leaders, Parts commercial leaders, Engineering, and project managers to define and optimize supply chains for key components and commodities in support of new fuel and component designs. Ensure focus on "design for cost" and "design for manufacturability".
Manage the installed base sourcing team (3 managers, ~25 employees); promote team morale, involvement; encourage excellence in compliance, customer service, safety, quality and productivity.
Implement strategies to improve cash position across fuels and services business, including extended payment terms, rebates, cost recovery, vendor managed inventory, etc.
Continue to develop or strengthen supplier partner relationships
Serve as a knowledgeable escalation point for commercial negotiations related to Main Services Agreements, Supply Agreements and other commercial agreements.
Drive negotiations to recover cost of poor quality related to supplier defects in material and certifications.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing. Utilize Lean problem-solving method to address safety, quality, delivery and cost issues.
Ensure activities are linked correctly across the value chain (across internal functions, suppliers and external partners), drive daily management of key performance indicators and develop recovery action plans when a disruption is identified.
Mitigate supply chain risks through the creation of risk management strategies and lessons learned (LL).
Develop or strengthen supplier partner relationships, based on foundation of nuclear safety culture and supplier integrity.
Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and reputation requirements. Interface with regulators as required.
Interface with customers as required; ensure sourcing efforts fulfill key customer requirements
Integrate with broader GE Sourcing teams to drive maximum benefit
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Business curriculum
At least 10 years of professional or military experience in sourcing, project management, finance, commercial, technical, manufacturing, quality or equivalent discipline.
At least 3-5 years of sourcing experience
At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or technical leadership role
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time as required
Desired Characteristics
Engineering or other technical degree; Master's Degree in business / engineering
Experience working with customers, regulators, and suppliers.
Strong leader capable of working successfully in matrix organization, as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results.
In-depth knowledge of the disciplines of sourcing management, including strong negotiation skills, contracts knowledge, and supplier development / management, quality systems, 'should-cost' and fulfillment metrics.
International and/or procurement experience
Sourcing experience in a high technology and/or highly regulated industry
Demonstrated ability to develop, contract and implement multi-year global supply agreements.
Demonstrated ability to establish a vision and direction for Sourcing Organization
Experience leading in a lean organization, with KPI/metrics to drive continuous improvement. Lean trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor
Strong interpersonal skills; inclusive leadership style; proven ability to build and motivate a strong team
Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex situations and drive projects to completion, including cost and schedule control.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and Oracle Enterprise Resources Planning System (ERP) systems
CPM and/or APICS certification.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $149,400.00 and $248,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
