    Position summary

    itigation plans. The Supply Chain Cost Analyst will lead efforts in cost roll-ups, detailed cost walks, and proactive cost management, while also preparing both periodic and ad-hoc cost reports. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), providing guidance to fix issues at their root. This role requires a strategic mindset, deep analytical expertise, and the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have the ability to dive into the details of any problem-whether technical or financial-while also helping management make informed decisions based on costs and benefits, ensuring that financial targets are met, and strategic decisions are supported.

    Job Description

    What you'll do

    • Lead the preparation of detailed weekly and monthly project cost reports, providing in-depth analysis of project scope and identifying cost variances early. Implement proactive mitigation strategies to address discrepancies, ensuring financial objectives are met.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on cost drivers and operational issues, ensuring sustainable solutions are implemented to prevent margin erosion.

    • Provide expert analysis on costs related to project claims, ensuring thorough documentation and strategic mitigation of potential financial impacts. Deliver insights that support the resolution of claims while protecting the company's financial interests.

    • Conduct thorough risk and opportunity analyses to identify potential cost-saving initiatives and mitigate financial risks. Leverage these insights to drive proactive strategies that enhance project profitability and safeguard against potential financial setbacks.

    • Proactive cost management: Push continuous initiatives to avoid margin erosion and drive cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Serve as a critical liaison between technical, operational, and financial teams, ensuring seamless alignment of all business aspects with financial objectives. Facilitate clear communication and integration across departments to support cohesive decision-making.

    • Provide expert strategic guidance to cost-out teams, ensuring that all cost-saving efforts are grounded in realistic and data-driven projections. Support initiative owners in accurately estimating savings using internal cost benchmarks, driving the effectiveness of cost-out initiatives.

    What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Finance, Business, or a related technical field from an accredited institution (this is a Must for Hungary) or equivalent experience.

    • Significant experience in cost analytics, cost control, or financial planning, with a strong understanding of financial metrics such as margin analysis, cost variance analysis, and financial forecasting.

    • Proven experience in technical, supply chain and operational roles, particularly those involving close collaboration with engineering or manufacturing teams to drive cost improvements and operational efficiency.

    • Excellent communication skills in English.

    • Hungarian language knowledge is an advantage in this role.

    • An advanced degree (MBA or master's in engineering/finance) is a plus.

    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage, manipulate, and analyze complex data sets. Capable of drawing insightful conclusions and developing actionable strategic recommendations.

    • Proficiency with advanced data tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or advanced Excel; knowledge of visual data presentation techniques is a plus.

    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and collaborate effectively across functions, leading initiatives that drive significant financial impact and align with broader business goals.

    • Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver results under pressure.

    • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
