    Position summary

    • Collaborate with Sourcing, Manufacturing and Engineering team to identify Cost out opportunities using data and should cost

    • Ability to develop new ways to optimize the Engine part cost by studying commercial contracts, Engineering design and manufacturing process.

    • Ability to do the Cost data analysis using excel and spotfire to propose areas to reduce cost.

    • Collaborate with Value engineers to do the cost estimates for the Aerospace Engine parts and identify the cost drivers.

    • Learn and develop spotfire based analytics using the data.

    • Demonstrate awareness of industry trends and Cost domain expertise

    • Demonstrate ability to influence customers and Cost strategy leaders through persuasion and influencing

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

    • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Product Cost Out, Should cost or Cost estimation

    • Understanding & Expertise in Cost data analytics methods and tools

    Desired Characteristics

    • Experience in Cost/Price estimation or product design or manufacturing

    • Aptitude to learn quickly, ability to identify and raise issues, risks and benefits, being open minded to new perspectives or ideas

    • Passion for learning and developing expertise in programming languages (Python/Java/SQL) & data Visualization (Spotfire) & analytics skills.

    • 1+ years of experience/exposure in CAD tools like NX, Catia, etc.

    • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership at all levels

    • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn

    • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively
