The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Provide technical leadership on the assigned project
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Work with teams to address organizational initiatives
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & electrical hardware. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong experience developing of electrical/electronic components
  • In depth understanding of principles of sensing (temperature, pressure, acceleration, speed)
  • Experience defining requirements, developing specifications and selecting electrical components for power generation applications, and ability to work with suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met
  • Ability to diagnosis technical issues in electrical systems and to develop practical solutions suitable for manufacture
  • The candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership on complex technical problem solution as well as to check own and other people’s work
  • The candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of improving design techniques and processes
  • Capable of developing and writing specifications for electrical components
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Effective handling of MS Office, Unigraphics is desirable

  • Conduct assessments and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems

  • At least 3 additional years of experience in an engineering position
