Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering specializing in Heat Transfer/Thermal Management OR M.S in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering specializing in Heat Transfer/Thermal Management, with at least 2-5 years of experience in industrial research
Demonstrated fundamental knowledge in computational heat transfer / thermal management, evidenced by advanced graduate coursework and research
Demonstrated ability and experience in Thermal and flow Modeling, Simulation & Analysis
Experience with commercial software (Ansys FLUENT, CFX, Icepak) or in-house code development
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desired Characteristics
Design experience in heat transfer and thermal management, at various levels of fidelity
Experimental heat transfer in addition to computational heat transfer skills
Advanced computational or experimental skills from "start-to-finish" to provide physics-based insights to guide design and innovation
Research in any one of the following areas: power electronics cooling for hybrid electric applications, gas turbine heat transfer, heat exchanger technology, thermal & energy systems modeling
