The team leverages expert knowledge of the AV autonomy stack, its subsystems, and its interfaces to derive functional and performance requirements, develop validation strategies and technologies, and provide guidance during design and development of the autonomy stack holistically. The team leverages data analysis to understand failure modes and risk to the overall enterprise. The intern will work closely with senior Systems Engineers and our cross functional partners.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  1. Decompose the top-level system functions, behaviors and features into a set of requirements that specify the expected end-to-end system behavior.

  2. Perform analysis of Autonomous Vehicle data to characterize vehicle systems performance

  3. Define verification plans and test methods for driving behaviors and functions

  4. Perform data analysis, trade studies, and safety analyses, like root cause analysis to understand performance, failure modes, and risk

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

  1. Some experience writing SQL and Python code to analyze large data sets

  2. Critical and analytical thinking skills. Some experience interpreting what the data is telling us

  3. Some experience using paretos and root cause analysis

  4. Some experience writing requirements and test plans

  1. Experience with complex hardware and software systems

  2. Experience with safety critical systems, like automotive, medical, rail, aerospace

  3. Experience with AI/ML systems

The salary range for this position is $https://28.00 - https://68.00/hour. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
