Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to:
Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections.
Promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals.

Work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold).

Required Qualifications:
Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas:Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Business/Management
Must be graduating between December 2025 and May 2028
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months
Willing to work in a plant environment
Enrolled in a co-op program at your university
What will give you a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Highly proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
Prior internship or co-op experience
Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities or service organizations
Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.)
Exposure to logistics, packaging or manufacturing
Knowledge of procurement software and databases
Knowledge of materials management
Experience with interpreting market data
Exposure to reading blueprints and understanding basic engineering documents
Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trust
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $3,500 - $4,900 monthly, dependent upon class status and degree.
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2025 Student Program.
