Job Description
This is a remote position, the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.
Internship in Spring/Summer 2021
Exposure to all aspects of GM's Corporate Licensing Program
Exposure to GM's technologies (powertrain, vehicle, telematics, etc.)
Support all stages of licensing of GM's patent portfolio to external third parties to include: Technology evaluation, technology scoping, market analysis, partner identification, and deal formation
Assist in the growth of General Motors revenue from its Powertrain, Vehicle, and Manufacturing divisions
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in Identifying and cataloging GM's patented Intellectual property for potential licensing
Assist in the completion of technology screens to determine licensing potential (technology description, market applications, patent scope)
Assist in the identification of potential partners
Assist in the development of marketing materials
Assist in the development of internal and external business case to promote licensing
Knowledge Skills/Abilities
General understanding of automotive technology
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office software
- Well developed communication skills verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with direction
- Able to secure relevant information and identify key issues
Additional Job Description
- In pursuit of a technical degree in science or engineering (preferred); junior or senior preferred OR
- In pursuit of a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a background in a technical field such as science or engineering preferred

The median level of the monthly salary compensation for this role is $4500 dependent upon class status and degree. Benefit options are not available for this role.
