GM has the largest connected vehicle fleet worldwide. In the US alone, there are currently 9M+ connected GM vehicles on the road and that number is projected to triple in the next 10 years. More than that, the OnStar system currently has access to over 900 data points from the vehicle. This surge in information about vehicles and how they are driven will revolutionize auto insurance. Job Description
- Manages product lifecycle from conception to release, iteration and maintenance, driving the right product for the customer experience while prioritizing work in backlogs to ensure delivery to expectations
- Leverage resources to gather data and customer information to support formulation of product strategy and enhance competitive intelligence.
- Develop claims product strategy recommendations, as well as dashboards and metrics.
- Proven track record of experimentation and measurement
- Experience managing complex, multifaceted and multilayered projects
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships in a complex, multi-divisional, geographically dispersed business organization
- Analyze and evaluate key product performance metrics to form recommendations regarding market opportunities and product enhancements.
- Accountable for financial, regulatory, and operational risk management related to the product, prioritizing closing any gaps or findings.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years P&C insurance claims or related industry experience including working knowledge of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements
- 2 or more years direct product and/or process management experience
- Advanced Office skills required and working knowledge of other product productivity tools such as Jira, etc.
- Proven ability to appropriately advise and interact with senior-level leaders
- Strong ability to grasp complex issues facing the company quickly and understand the nature of the business and the competition
- High level of interpersonal skills (oral, written, and presentation) to work effectively with a variety of different groups, and a strong commitment to teamwork and partnerships
- An ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and concisely with both business and technical teams
- Agile and able to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a business owners mindset
- Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics, and build reports
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and work to tight deadlines
- Able to simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes
- Advanced experience in creating product briefings.
- Proven track record for implementing innovative ideas.
- Experience forming strategic partnerships to deliver unique customer experiences & capabilities
- Experience with omni-channel interaction data to include, but not limited to: call center operations and digital interaction flow-thru
- Adaptable to continuous change
Preferred:
- Safe Agile certified
- Project or Product Management certified
- Understanding of the E2E insurance auto product lifecycle
- Experience with telematics application in the claims experience
Familiarity with granular telematics data to include creation sources and event derivation
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.:
