Develop deep expertise in the area being supported, USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements with GM North America, includes willingness to work with Global Customs counterparts and contacts to enhance knowledge as well as study GM Policies and Procedures and other external sources.
Lead complex projects that will eliminate non-value adding activities.
Drive and lead calls and discussions with customers, business partners and stakeholders within the Customs space.
Support as back-up in cases of contingency plan, especially for high complex processes.
Support documentation and ensures timely updates of desk procedures as necessary.In addition, below are the Analyst responsibilities:
Responsible for operationally executing and supporting Customs Origin and Data Management methodologies and processes.
Provide timely and accurate update on the workload as part of Status Reporting.
Produce schedules, reports, analysis, and other work-product as required.
They must also comply with overall requirements for a Senior Analyst as follow:
Ensure compliance with GM Corporate policies and external regulatory requirements.
Supports internal and external audits (if any).
Interacts with internal/external related parties.
Has strong control focus - brings any issues (financial or control-related) forward immediately.
Can present to Senior Leadership and consolidating information in a clear and understandable manner.
Self-starter and able to accomplish assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands and business requirements.
Ability to collaborate and work with others efficiently, including Mexico peers and colleagues.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Customs, Business Administration or related.
Adequate knowledge on the title 19 - Customs duties (US Code of Federal Regulation), ACE55 and other Free Trade Agreements in partnership and applicable to GMNA - additionally, continue to attend trainings on these topics to remain adequately informed and knowledgeable.
Systems aptitude is a requirement for this position with knowledge of various GM Systems used in Customs Origin and Data Management mainly TMSII and Cognos and other sources of knowledge necessary for the role - employee must be willing to continuously learn the GM systems landscape and functionality.
Flexibility in work hours to accommodate US, MX and PH Time zones.
