ABOUT THE JOB:
Are you a data science geek with leadership skills? Can you lead a technical team and help us gain insights into our massive amounts of data pouring in every single day? Could you spend your days lost in a deep forest or hanging out on the branches of a decision tree?
Our Data Analytics team supports operational improvement and business decision-making through ad-hoc statistical analysis of curated enterprise data and self-constructed data sets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate and maintain Master Data, Metadata, Data Management Repositories, Logical Data Models, and Data Standards
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Build industrialized analytic datasets and delivery mechanisms that utilize the data pipeline to deliver actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
Work with business partners on data-related technical issues and develop requirements to support their data infrastructure needs
Create highly consistent and accurate analytic datasets suitable for business intelligence and data scientist team members
Ability to manage strong relationships with IT and Business Partners, and effectively communicate with all

QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to being insightful and generally clever, you have at least 7 years of experience in most of the following:
Big Data Tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
Mastery-level experience with databases: Advanced SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
Mastery-level in SQL: Oracle and Hive required; GP SQL would be a plus
Soliciting and writing requirements
Data mapping at the column level
Stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, ETL, etc.
Advanced problem solving, persisting from root cause analysis through permanent resolution
Automation and process improvement
A demonstrable understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
Experience with BIS would be a plus
