Job Description
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Data and Business Analysts to develop business tools and solutions to drive portfolio planning and strategic funding to the business value streams. Key focus is keeping the customer at the center of innovation.
- Lead within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment at the Portfolio Level through planning and resource management down to the Valuestream implementation comprehending performance and quality metrics.
- Work collaboratively across all teams within VMEC to align the core business priorities, long term strategies and short term execution.
- Develop strategic action plans using data driven approaches to support business goals and lead those action plans to successful completion.
- Develop new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of embedded controls development
- Be a Scaled Agile Framework agile coach, embrace the people leader aspect, mentor people, and adopt agile practices
- Build an effective team by fostering inclusion and professional development of all team members and recruiting qualified candidates as required.
- Manage employee performance, provide candid & constructive feedback and develop direct reports. Other leadership duties include identifying & leading staffing initiatives for work team; conducting regularly scheduled group meetings, communicating GM policies & procedures, leadership and safety messages; crafting specific to functional communication on vision & strategy, which may include preparing and giving presentations; ensuring employees are in compliance with all mandatory GM training and any specific training related to functional responsibility; understanding & supporting employee's career development goals; developing & executing initiatives to improve work team capability and increase work team capacity; assigning and balancing workload for direct reports; setting individual employee and group priorities.

Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering to include Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Mathematics.
- Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Demonstrated results in successful project execution
- Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership skills - able to get multiple teams moving in the same direction
- Demonstrated ability to "Deal with Ambiguity" while driving timely decision making
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Engineering and/or Master of Business Administration
- lLeadership experience of teams of engineers or data analytics
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through effective teamwork
- Demonstrated ability to lead numerous projects with different focal areas to successful completion
- Demonstrated ability to manage and measure work through metrics, data, and results
- Working knowledge of embedded controls development tool set (e.g. IBM Rational Tool Suite including DOORS for requirements management, Git ecosystem, MatLab-Simulink, ETAS)
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework
- DFSS Black Belt Certification
- High level of analytical/problem solving skills where problems are unusual and complex
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate and elicit work output.
