    Position summary

    this role is to inspire customer confidence and satisfaction in every vehicle by assuring software and electrical functionality to meet on time deliveries for our customers.

    • WHAT : As an EGM for Manufacturing Software Reflash, you will lead vehicle software reflash and repair activities at various GM sites and offsite locations.

    • HOW : Tirelessly supporting the plants to make it happen for our customers.

    What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

    • Lead a team of highly technical salary employees and manage a large number of 3rd party resources to perform vehicle software updates and electrical repair activities.

    • Manage and prioritize the support coverage schedule for all ongoing and future projects.

    • Utilize the lessons learned from these activities to feed back to owners to drive improvement in E-FTQ (electrical first-time quality) and customer warranty impact.

    • Continue to drive process improvements to increase throughput and quality in all reflash and repair activities.

    • Support all GM manufacturing sites on achieving and exceeding their Electrical First Time Quality targets.

    • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.

    • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

    • Support vehicle-level software reflash in shipping and plant yards.

    • Lead all part build shy initiatives.

    • Oversee plant electrical repair support activities.

    Additional Description

    Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

    • 8+ years of vehicle manufacturing experience

    • Salaried leadership experience and proven ability to lead and manage a team of technical professionals

    • Knowledge of EOL (End of Line) test strategy

    • Knowledge of software release strategy

    • Detail-oriented for process documentation and tracking

    What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

    • Vehicle repair knowledge and background

    • Knowledge of vehicle architecture

    • Familiarity with General Motors quality standards
