Spring/Summer 2021 Internship
About Sales, Service and Marketing (SSM) Driving all General Motors Sales for North America this group is made up of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC brands as well as our Sales Operations groups. For the race enthusiast we are home to Motorsports and accessories which provides a large contribution to the revenue of SSM. SSM is also the home to all of GM's marketing groups- from auto shows, to new vehicle launches. If commercial, rental or government is your passion then this Fleet space may be for you. This is where we support rental companies as well as commercial businesses and local/federal government. SSM has a mix of sales, support and analytics- see what drives GM!
As a Fleet Intern you will have the core responsibilities of supporting the beta launch of Commercial Link 2.0. This encompasses facilitating requirements needs for Fleet to CL 2.0 team. Supporting customer enrollment/questions for CL 2.0 and analyzing sales attribution models to map return on investment back to fleet. Organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail is vital for this role. At GM, looking ahead is built into our culture. So, you will help to make decisions now with the long-term view in mind and anticipate what lies ahead. You would be responsible for supporting and sculpting 5/10-year plan development.

Other Core responsibilities:
- Act as a lead on rolling out Fleets new Sales Enablement program to the field
- Support creative agency on content creation
- Lead aspects of implementation of HighSpot and support access control
- Ensure field has the training and support needed
- Conduit for feedback and additional requirements around program
Secondary responsibilities:
- Support social media and OLA modeling for return on investment / critical metrics
- Misc. customer event planning for Solutions Summit & potential Matchup @ Milford
- Evaluate Fleet's internal CRM system to help provide direction around data governance
Additional Job Description
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or related fields
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Freshman status or above
- Demonstrates leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations
- Able to work full-time - 40 hours per week during the summer months

- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
