Position summary

Job Description

Remote: Position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

To reach this ambitious goal, we need to build a modern vehicle computing platform that is capable to integrate all the advanced features like active safety, driving assistance systems, infotainment, connectivity, and vehicle motion. This new platform Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) shall seamlessly connect in-vehicle computing controls with cloud and edge computing resources.

Our team is looking for a detailed and passionate Developer - Commercial/Fleet Services to join us in our mission!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies.

  • Work hands-on writing software or solutions, based on detailed requirements and system specifications.

  • Updating existing software and/or developing new software solutions to address a specific need or solve a particular business problem.

  • Contribute to all development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process.

  • Work closely with more senior developers to ensure code alignment with design patterns/frameworks.

  • Document software solutions and ensure that technical documentation meets GM standards.

  • Proactively engage in the identification / remediation of software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatch, and security issues related to the code or solution/configuration

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid in accordance with Colorado law. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of Colorado.

  • The median level of salary compensation for this role is ($97,980).

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree

  • Minimum of 2 years of full lifecycle application development using standard design patterns/frameworks

  • Experience as part of a software project delivery

  • Mastery of several programming languages, tools and/or technologies

  • Ability to assist with Performance tuning, usability assessment/improvement

  • Understanding of how to integrate software with existing software/systems

  • Knowledge of Software testing, quality assurance and solutions testing including automation

  • Knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software applications

  • Understanding of compliance with industry standard methodology
