Accounting Advisor, Google Server Operations, Technical Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Accountant (CA), or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in cost accounting or accounting in a relevant industry (e.g. supply chain or manufacturing setting).
• Experience with SOX compliance or internal control frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with leadership.
• Experience and interest in working with a variety of data integration technologies to solve problems.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and international teams.

The Google Fixed Assets team manages the global accounting for Google’s Capital Expenditure portfolio, and related manufacturing operations and expenses. Our Technical Infrastructure is at the heart of what Google is - a global footprint of data centers and networking that powers both our unique customer products and services, and our internal operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key business advisor to the Server Operations team on inventory and supply chain.
• Control oversight for Google’s Technical Infrastructure inventory within Data Centers.
• Manage quarterly reviews of Data Center inventory for aging as well as deployment, project delays, and spares inventory.
• Lead reporting of Google Server Operations inventory and supply chain initiatives at Data Centers to Finance Leadership.
• Develop policies and procedures for Data Center inventory with an increasingly diverse fleet, combined with a growth in Technical Infrastructure held at the Data Center.
