Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in people management.
Experience in payment operations and/or payment processing.
Experience with project management and process improvement.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with payments and in an AP specialist role.
Experience with banking and payment platforms, including wire, automated clearing house (ACH), etc.
Understanding of the procure-to-pay cycle and the overall process.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns.
Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
The Google Business Services (GBS) team within Accounting and Finance Operations manages critical transactions on a global basis and ensures processes are controlled, effective, and efficient. The Source to Pay (S2P) organization, a subset of GBS, is responsible for managing the purchasing process, including supplier enrollment, purchasing, invoice validation and processing, and payment. The S2P team supports all business needs while compliantly and efficiently delivering value back to Alphabet. As an Accounts Payable Lead, you will manage the oversight and execution of large payments to vendors and partners and manage a team that executes the function. You will support the day-to-day execution of disbursements, customer service, and master data functions, including the disbursement of business annually and the accompanying Google, vendors’, and partners’ data. In addition, you will support driving continuous improvement and performance goals through the compilation of data analysis, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
