    Position summary

    Minimum qualifications:

    • 4 years of experience implementing and customizing vendor software and building custom internal applications through full system implementation life-cycles.

    • 4 years of experience in technical integration and configuration with enterprise level CRM systems and tools.

    • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, Web Services (e.g., RESTful, SOAP), and SQL.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • 4 years of experience with Deltek Costpoint.

    • Experience delivering solutions that meet Public Sector security and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, or Risk Management Framework.

    • Experience with the Cloud market and the Public Sector (e.g., government, healthcare, education, defense).

    You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.

    As an Application Engineer, you will work on implementing Deltek and other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems that help assist the Google Cloud Public Sector Sales teams. You will have the opportunity to work on complex, multi-disciplinary projects that play a key role in shaping the growth of Google Cloud Public Sector. You will collaborate cross-functionally working with Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Strategists to deliver solutions that meet client needs. You will also act as a technical consultant by proposing solutions and executing on them in a technical manner that includes all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle. Your work will focus on building internal solutions with custom front-end and back-end services and will involve coding as well as testing of customized application modules. Must be a US Citizen to access Controlled Unclassified Information.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver applications using CRM systems. Initiate all aspects of development including design, task allocation, implementation, testing, documentation, ongoing support and maintenance.
    • Document technical alternatives and make engineering decisions across known and unknown interacting systems. Author design documents and present design reviews.
    • Write and test code using defined frameworks. Rapid development and prototyping to prove concepts.
    • Partner cross-functionally to deliver highly scalable business solutions that satisfy specific business requirements. Identify and communicate problems with requirements and be an advocate for stakeholders.
    • Manage priorities and execute on end-to-end tasks without supervision. Provide estimates and dependencies for engineering tasks. Drive growth of Cloud Public Sector and maximize impact through systems.
