ASIC Design Methodology Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 years of experience in a ASIC chip design team.

• Experience with hardware Electronic Design Automation tools.

• Experience with writing code and design practices.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with object oriented programming and functional programming.

• Experience with writing and understanding SystemVerilog Register Transfer Level (RTL) code.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $146,000-$220,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Create software solutions that improve the hardware design process through automation.
• Propose, design, and implement software automation that directly address bottlenecks in today's ASIC and SoC EDA flow.
• Work directly with a hardware team on projects - prototype and then deploy tools to make a positive impact on Google's chip hardware development process.
