Business and Marketing Data Scientist, Creator Growth, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in a scripting language (e.g., PHP, Python, Perl, etc.).

• Experience manipulating data sets in Structured Query Language and in using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, Numpy, Pandas).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering).
• Experience building estimated time to launch and machine learning pipelines.
• Experience with statistics (e.g., probability theory, hypothesis testing, regressions) and machine learning (e.g., supervised learning, clustering).

As a Business and Marketing Data Scientist, you will be focusing on the scaled partnership management side of GSS. The mission of this team is to generate business growth, and grow engagement and satisfaction of small and medium YouTube Creators. We do this at scale by delivering the right recommendation to the right creator at the right time in their life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Run analysis to better understand the behavior of our creators, and what could be the right recommendations to serve at the right time.
• Provide careful analytical support for the business teams, including performance measurement, causal impact, estimation, predictive modeling, and metric definition all leading to better data-driven business recommendations.
• Design experiments to test our findings and allow us to have a better understanding of our impact.
• Work cross-functionally with business leaders, as well as the marketing, operations, data science, strategy, and product teams
• Demonstrate analytical approach and an understanding of our creators’ business models.
