Cloud Data Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Services

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 4 years of experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-based solution architectures.

• Experience in writing software in one or more languages, such as Python, Go, JavaScript, Java, C++ or similar.

• Experience implementing data services, including storage, integration, and APIs.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with data warehouses, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, reporting/analytic tools and environments, and data structures.

• Experience in technical consulting.

• Experience architecting and developing software or internet-scale Big Data solutions in virtualized environments.

• Experience working with Big Data, information retrieval, data mining, or machine learning, as well as building multi-tier high availability applications with modern web technologies (i.e., NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, and TensorFlow).

You will work on data migrations and transformational projects, and with customers to design data processing systems, develop data pipelines optimized for scaling, and troubleshoot potential platform challenges. You will support customer implementation of Google Cloud products.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve Big Data issues.

• Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations, adapting to different levels of business and technical stakeholders.

• Communicate effectively via video conferencing for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.

• Travel up to 30% of the time, as needed.
