Cloud Engineer, SAP, Google Cloud Professional Services

This role will be remote until May 2022 or when the Google office in Pune opens, (whichever is earlier). After this, you will be required to work from the Google Pune office.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

• 3 years of experience project managing and delivering technical solutions.

• Experience with SAP technologies (SAP HANA, SAP Business Suite and Business Warehouse, SAP Hybris, etc.).

• Experience in maintaining internet-facing production-grade applications in virtualized environments.

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or engineering field.
• Cloud Certification.
• 5 years of experience managing complex multi-group, multi-disciplinary projects or technical lead demonstrating cross-functional and/or cross-organizational relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with customers on building, supporting, or migrating public cloud workloads in the enterprise space.
• Experience with SAP and implementing projects for live SAP environments on public cloud, and architecting around core production concepts (e.g., high availability, disaster recovery, multi-tenancy, scale out and scale up architectures, etc.).

As a SAP Cloud Architect, you will work directly with Google’s most strategic customers to manage projects, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance and best practice expertise. You will also work with customer executives and key technical leaders to deploy solutions on Google’s Cloud Platform. You will need to know how to navigate ambiguity and to have technical depth and extensive experience working with cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer technical leads, customer executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations of cloud solutions, serving as a trusted advisor to decision-makers throughout the engagement.
• Work with internal specialists and product and engineering teams to package best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
• Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines for successful customer outcomes.
• Advocate for customer needs in order to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development based on your field experience.
• Propose architectures for SAP products and manage the deployment of cloud based SAP solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementation best practices.
