Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Professional Services

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in writing software in one or more languages, such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, C++, or similar.

• Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-based solution architectures.

• Experience communicating technical concepts to audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA/M.S. degree in Computer Science or engineering field.
• 7 years of experience demonstrating technical client service.
• Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Software development, managing large scale Windows/Linux environments, network design and deployment, database(s), storage systems.
• Experience with networking and system design of load balancers, firewalls, and VPN in architecting, developing and/or maintaining production-grade systems.
• Experience working with and managing external partners/customers.
• Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for Google Cloud, you will provide technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform services. You'll provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. Additionally, you'll also guide customers on their Google Cloud Platform (GCP) use, while ensuring they have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to design cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
• Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.
• Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
• Travel 30% of the time as needed.
