Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience in an IT agreements, legal, or sales operations environment.

  • Ability to speak and write in English and French fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing complex agreements (https://e.g., drafting, redlining, discussing agreements) at a technology firm.

  • Knowledge of financial modeling, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (https://e.g. Salesforce), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Ability to clearly present analytical findings used to influence internal and external leadership.

  • Ability to be resourceful, solve problems, and work autonomously.

  • Ability to lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects.

  • Excellent problem solving, project management, business acumen, and communication skills.

About the job

As a Commercial Manager for Google Cloud Global Business Practices, you will serve as a strategic business partner to internal teams, accelerating agreement closure timelines while mitigating commercial and agreement risk across all Google Cloud products. You will discuss cost-effective solutions that support Google Cloud’s growth, ensure customers’ needs are addressed while minimizing Google risk and operational impact, and build/maintain relationships with sales and internal cross-functional teams and customer consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with enterprise customers to lead commercial and agreement consultations, manage objections, socialize customer requests with internal stakeholders, and coordinate approvals. Review and prepare agreement redlines, using custom language, and fallbacks as appropriate.
  • Build relationships with teams to accelerate agreements, drive continuous process improvement, attend forecast calls, staff meetings, and business reviews to keep apprised of priorities. Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the internal stakeholder groups including, without limitation, Sales Leadership, Global Business Practices, Legal, Finance, and Product Development.
  • Manage expectations of and present solutions that address issues and objections raised to, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic stewardship on agreement negotiations to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across the global organization with key leaders to formulate and advance key initiatives that result in efficiently closing agreements.
