Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience

• 5 years of experience serving in the capacity of a sales engineer or technical consultant in a cloud computing environment or in a customer-facing role

• 5 years of experience with presenting and delivering a technical pitch

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA or Master's degree
• Experience with on-premise and cloud based mail delivery, routing, and filtering technologies
• Experience in mobile device management and relevant third-party integrations
• Experience with cloud security, including identity and access management (IAM), SSO, OAuth, and two-step verification
• Experience with data loss prevention, retention, and e-discovery technologies for email, and with developing Enterprise digital transformation and modernization strategies
• Familiarity with Big Data, PaaS, and IaaS terminology

As a Customer Engineer, you will engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions utilizing Google Workspace.

In this role, you will work with the Sales team as a Google Workspace subject matter expert to help customers get the most out of Google’s collaboration and productivity tools. You will help existing and prospective customers understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features and problem-solving any potential roadblocks.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
• Share in-depth Google Workspace expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination and prioritization of solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud
• Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud
• Recommend digital transformation and modernization solutions and best practices customized for each of our customers
