Director, Product Management, Firebase Build and Platform

Minimum qualifications:

• 15 years of experience in product management, including providing product vision, strategy development, data-influenced product planning, prioritization and directing product launches from Project Requirements Document and Market Requirements Document through to launch

• Experience with developer-facing products such as APIs, SaaS platforms, and/or internal infrastructure

• Experience building and managing a team of product managers

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing consumer and/or B2B interfaces with focus on the user
• Experience as a software developer, with the ability to code in a currently prevalent programming language
• Experience and comfort with public speaking, and the ability to serve as a public spokesperson for Google and engage with external customers
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships with Engineering, UX, Developer Relations, and product area leaders across the organization and drive product excellence across many different product lines
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, APIs, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management

Responsibilities

• Lead development of compelling product vision and strategy for Developer Foundations products and solutions.
• Develop and lead a disciplined product development process and drive product insights, roadmap prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Establish go-to-market for the product line.
• Work closely with cross-functional leaders across all strategic and product areas of Google to gain buy-in, forge partnerships, and build enthusiasm for the product vision.
• Grow and develop a high-performing product team by attracting, growing, and retaining excellent talent.
