Director, Technical Program Management, Google Cloud Security

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 10 years of experience managing technical projects within software product development/engineering.

• 8 years of experience leading teams within technical program management, operations management, or equivalent roles.

• Experience managing technical projects within security products, compliance, or security operations.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of complex relationship between the organization and its environment, identifies connections, adopts different perspectives, and rapidly respond to changing circumstances in a strategic way.
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and manage talent/ideas to achieve an organizational goal.
• Ability to create an environment that drives team goals and work through to a solution in response to ambiguity.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, discussion, and organizational skills.

About the job

In this role, you will focus on program management, mobilizing cross-functional teams, delivering solutions for scale and data-driven decision-making, to launch and take to market solutions that accelerate our customers' success in the cloud. You will lead and manage teams of different disciplines to deliver results in a timely way by setting vision and direction, enhancing productivity and quality standards, resolving systemic problems, identifying trends, and implementing change.

You will be responsible for leading and managing Google Cloud Security products and platforms working closely with the Google Cloud Security Engineering team.

In addition, this role will also be the India Site lead for Google Cloud Programs organization who will be responsible for the overall health of the site and create the culture of transparency and focus on improving execution.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and execution of organizational direction for broad, organization projects for Security Products, Security Platform, Compliance, Identity, Policy, and User Protection organizations spanning Google Cloud.
• Partner with executive leadership engineering and product managers to ensure Technical Program Management (TpM) alignment with engineering and product priorities, including forecasting resourcing requirements for TpM, while driving sub-linear scaling at a rapid pace.
• Serve as a representative of the site internally to Google leadership and externally to local stakeholders, for site-related issues. 
• Managing/execution of cross-organization programs across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other product areas at Google to help manage the movement of several critical workloads on to GCP. 
• Lead groups to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage goals, release on time, bring tooling efficiencies, and help teams in execution.
