Embedded Software Engineer, WiFi, Pixel Mobile Wireless

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5 years of experience working with mobile/embedded SoCs.

• Experience with embedded programming in C.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with IEEE 802.11 protocol, Wi-Fi driver and firmware, Real Time Operating System, Unix/Linux environments, and Linux device drivers.

• Experience with modifying or optimizing bus and WiFi transmit/receive data paths.

• Excellent problem-solving, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of interactions between software and different IP blocks, general and special purpose compute units.

• Ability to work across the stack from Silicon to Apps.

• Experience in ASM, C++, or shell/Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support connectivity features for Pixel devices.
• Address various WiFi chips and work with partners and vendors to build in Google SoCs.
• Build software/firmware to enable effective and optimal usage of Silicon features.
• Collaborate closely with Google Silicon teams to deliver product differentiating experiences.
