    Position summary

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

    • 15 years of experience in architecting emulation and silicon validation.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • 12 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry.

    • 5 years of experience in emulation.

    • Experience with emulation model development and bring up.

    • Experience with developing transactors and hybrid emulation model development.

    • Experience with Field-programmable Gate Array (FPGA) prototyping.

    • Knowledge in digital fundamentals and computer architecture.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

    Pulling on your technical and leadership expertise, you lead end-to-end research projects in multiple areas of expertise across data center facilities and manage a team of direct reports working on equipment installation, troubleshooting and debugging.

    Responsibilities

    • Build emulation models for Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) designs.
    • Prototype FPGA for ASIC designs.
    • Produce a strategy for emulation test platforms (e.g., sim, hybrid, ice).
    • Develop transactors for emulation models. Support automation for emulation builds and releases.
    • Triage and debug emulation test fails while working with design teams, verification teams, or tool vendors.
