Minimum qualifications:
JD or equivalent degree.
3 years of post JD experience in export control laws and conducting investigations.
Admitted to the bar in the state where the position is located and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g. have registered in-house status).
Preferred qualifications:
As an Export Compliance Associate Counsel on Sanctions Investigations, you will strive to fulfill the team mission of identifying and mitigating relevant legal risks in a non-traditional and ever changing business. In this role, you will act as an advisor to members of Google Legal's Export team, and cross- functional partners, such as Product Counsel, Security Operations, and Regulatory Investigations, and outside counsel. You will ensure compliance with applicable export control and economic sanction laws. You'll assist in navigating the uncertain aspects of our business future, utilizing creative ways, and staying true to Google's ethical standards.
