Financial Analyst, Google Cloud Finance Sales Compensation

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) or a related function.

• 4 years of experience in banking/finance, strategy consulting, compensation, sales operations, or similar analytical role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Compensation management tools (e.g., Anaplan, SAP, OIC, Xactly), Salesforce reporting, and Business Intelligence platforms.
• 3 years of experience with working on multiple datasets with knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in SOX reporting and compliance for Sales Commission Reporting.
• Spreadsheet and data tools mastery with experience in building modeling skills.
• Project management skills with ability to oversee projects and apply project management methodologies to ensure successful completion.

In this role, you will work with cross-functional partners in Corporate (e.g., FPA, Sales Operations, Sales, Cloud Systems, etc) to enable operations around financial planning, growth reporting, forecasting, compensation administration, profit and loss reporting, expense management, growth analysis, etc. You will help scale out the insights function in support of the rapid growth of Google Cloud.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the opex for the Google Cloud Sales team for sales compensations and other incentives programs. Build robust financial models to deliver monthly forecast and quarterly accruals.
• Provide insightful and actionable recommendations for executive decision making through data analysis on drivers of change.
• Develop and present business insights to Finance and Sales leaders on growth and booking performance, sales representative attainment and payout ratios.
• Work cross-functionally with Google Cloud Systems and Engineering teams to improve and build Financial Planning and Analysis process efficiencies by providing business requirements, tracking project deliverables, and testing new builds and system. Work cross-functionally with Controllership, Sales Compensation, and Payroll for monthly and quarterly reconciliation and reporting.
• Develop and upgrade critical finance processes, business, and review cadence, including leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial cycle.
